Lodging - on campus

Redondo Village is an apartment facility featuring four single bedroom units with interior entrances. Residents within an apartment are either all men or all women (except for married couples at conferences), but the floors are mixed.

• All single bedrooms
• Bedrooms are individually air-conditioned and keyed for privacy and security
• Apartments consist of a kitchen, living-dining area, segmented bathroom, and 4 single bedrooms
• Bedrooms furnished with loftable bed, desk & chair, stackable chest of drawers and bookcase
• Stove, fridge and microwave
• Carpeted bedrooms and living Areas
• Free cable TV
• Internet connection
• Accessibility for disabled persons
• Non-smoking facility

Lodging - off campus

There are a number of motels and hotels within commuting distance of the UNM campus.  A fairly complete list is maintained by UNM on their conference facilities page.

Within one mile of the campus toward the airport you will find a number of motels and hotels. Some of the more reasonable ones are:

Dining - on campus

The main campus dining facility is La Posada.  La Posada serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner food-court style to several thousand people each day. Dining areas and a garden patio furnish ample space and a pleasant atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meals.

Around the neighborhood

On its southern edge, the main campus of UNM borders one of the most nostalgic roads in U.S. history, Route 66. In the late 1940s the Nob Hill Business Center was built making it one of the first modern shopping centers west of the Mississippi. Today Nob Hill encompasses a two mile stretch of Route 66, now known as Central Ave.

This romantic stretch of road, one of the best preserved sections of Route 66 in the state, is home to a vibrant and eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, music clubs, and theaters. An easy walk or bus ride from the university brings students, faculty, staff, conference attendees, and the general public together in one of Albuquerque's most charming neighborhoods.

Stroll down Central to Nob Hill for a nice break at the end of a busy day. From the famous 24-hour Frontier Restaurant directly across the street from the UNM bookstore, to high-end Italian dining at Scalo's at its eastern edge, they're sure to find something to enjoy in Nob Hill.
